We invite you to subscribe to our community to receive information and practices related to ritual art, presence, body language, the sense of intuition, inspiration, and mystery as a habitat for artistic expansion.
We will immerse ourselves for three days in deep contact with the natural expression of the body, mind, and creative mystery. It is an opportunity to re-know and re-connect with creative energy from body consciousness and attention to our symbols, through practices of yoga, artistic exploration, forest walks, ritual fire, meditation, and Ayurvedic nutrition.
Return to your ritual nature along with other world creators, offering yourself a pause to learn to reactivate your intuitive resources and sense of belonging to your body and artistic work.
All products are created in our graphic workshop where each piece is designed to bring to children and adults alike, the mysterious expressions of the natural world into our everyday spaces.
Enjoy and gift the experience of observing our habitat in coexistence with other species that enrich and honour this shared planet.
Welcome to share the joy of painting the expressions of the Hülsenbusch forests.
Bring the awakening of this owl on a winter night. Let this night guardian to fill with wisdom and warmth the dreams of your family while it awaits calmly to the rising sun.
We ritualize artistic language to transcend and awaken the mind towards a dimension of intuition, presence, and a sense of belonging to our physical, astral and energetic body, invoking the development of consciousness through spaces of body presence, free creation and consciousness of the symbolic nature of life and artwork.
I am a Chilean designer, visual researcher, and writer.
I have developed photographic and audiovisual documentary work in addition to working with mixed techniques of engraving, drawing, and calligraphic exploration alongside master artists. In parallel, I have taught History of Art, Methodology, and Research at the Faculty of Design at UFT University (Chile) between 2017 and 2021.
Over twelve years ago, I began my inner journey exploring the world and observing the contact between cultures and their geographies. I have travelled to twenty-six countries, learning about Andean shamanic practices in Peru, Vipassana meditation, and Mindfulness practices. I have also been an apprentice of Satyananda Yoga philosophy in an ashram and a self-taught practitioner of Ayurvedic nutrition.
I have been training in body psychotherapy for 4 years, I am a yoga teacher and physiotherapist and come from Germany.
I have been working as a therapist and yoga teacher since 2017 and continue to study and learn with great enthusiasm.
My work is characterized by themes of movement, body presence, expression, touch, sensing, creating and transforming the moment physically, and contact with being.
My inner journey began a long time ago. In India, through deep insights into the “knowledge of life” – Ayurveda and the “union of body and soul” – Yoga, I learned important things. After that, I experienced and learned the transformative effects of body psychotherapy. The birth of my daughter and my stays in Latin America also fundamentally shaped my journey.
It was coined by the historian of religions Mircea Eliade in his book "Treatise on the History of Religions" published in 1949.
A hierophany is the act by which something in this world is revealed as sacred. According to Eliade, it is the manifestation of something of a different order, a reality that does not belong to our world (Eliade, M. 1981. Treatise on the History of Religions, vol. 1), in seemingly profane objects or events.
Thus, a hierophany marks the point where the sacred breaks into the world, granting existential meaning and orientation. Eliade affirmed that this is essential for human beings, as it allows them to discover "absolute reality", which gives meaning to life. In practice, the concept explains how through rites, symbols and myths, human beings experience hierophanies that allow them to connect with a sacred and transcendent dimension beyond the purely material and profane. It is an experience of "the other", the uncreated and eternal.
We are convinced that the sacred is something that cuts across human existence. It comes by default with human birth ; ) Therefore, everything we collaboratively develop here are experiences to stimulate and expand the consciousness of all who share the human species.
While we inhabit the artistic and therapeutic language, the core of the project lies in the transdisciplinary realm. Knowledge is and has been one of our keys to travel to the profound experience of being thrown into the world (Heidegger, M. 1927. Being and Time) and we want to continue awakening our individual consciousness through the transpersonal exploration of the mind and the creative and poetic power in collective spaces and free expression.
Like indigenous peoples and every era before antiquity (Romans and earlier), we feel art as a deep state of connection with non-existence, with the invisible, which is the habitat of the sensorial.
This space is to establish contact with the power of creation by transcending the human experience, through movement, body awareness, and presence. We do not seek to heal, change, or use art or artwork in any sense, but rather to bring presence to the nature in motion inhabiting the human experience.
So if you are interested in developing a workshop, a practice, sharing a reflection or whatever you have in mind, you can write to us at mau@hierophanie.de and tell us about yourself, your idea and what you would need from us to promote and/or incubate your project at Hierophanie. Thank you very much in advance!
